Buying Trips & Product Sourcing

Many of Indonesia Export’s clients visit Bali every year to spend time with us looking at new products or developing new product lines for their upcoming catalogues. Generally, our customers will spend anywhere from a day to a week with us visiting carvers, painters, woodworkers, furniture makers, iron workers and so on.

For existing Indonesia Export customers, there’s no charge for this service: it’s a necessary but fun way to cement our business relationship and learn more about each other.

If you’re new to Indonesia Export or new to Bali, you’re also welcome to spend time with us sourcing products and suppliers for your business.

Just so we’re clear with each other, here are a few reasons to work with Indonesia Export on product sourcing in Bali:

• We’ve been doing business here since 1995. We know a lot of people and a lot of people know us. We can steer you towards reputable producers who understand, in a modern business situation, how important it is that you find the right product at the right price and can produce the quantity you asked for and the quality you need.
• We have an extremely diverse portfolio of clients – from the US; from Europe, the Bahamas, the Caribbean; the Middle East and Asia. Our catalogue represents a lot of what we do but not everything we do. If you’re looking for a particular product, theme or concept; we’ve probably already worked on a similar project and can take you directly to the source without any false starts.
• We have the resources not only to help you find your products but can work to track down alternate supply-lines so on one hand you’ll have the option to compare pricing and quality but also, in the event that you need very large quantities of a particular line, you can split up your production into small batches spread among a group of suppliers; reducing overall lead time as much as possible.
• We have the knowledge, expertise and confidence to tell you when you’re paying too much or not getting the right quality.

To make a long story short, there’s no point in you coming all the way to Bali only to waste time, money & energy re-inventing the wheel.

Pricing

Each day of sourcing will be charged £50.00.

Clients who later decide to order over £1,000.00 with Indonesia Export will be refunded the full cost of sourcing. In other words, spending time with us at the office, in the car or at the carver is free for Indonesia Export customers.

How it Works

An experienced, English-speaking member of our team will pick you up at your hotel 9:00 AM and return you to the hotel at 5:00 in the evening.

We’ll take photos of products you like during the course of the day.

In the evening, after you’ve returned to your hotel, we’ll put all the photos on a CD for you along with scan copies of any receipts or business cards and have it ready for you the following morning.
