These Bird Cages are made from recycled teak wood (off cuts and bits and bobs from wood house and floor construction) for the frame, top & base… the bars are made from rattan.
 We’re not certain they’re strong enough to hold anything bigger than a small to medium bird – we think the bars aren’t strong enough to hold anything bigger but they’re a sturdy and eye catching update to the old range and are durable enough for both indoor and outdoor use.
The line has also extended a little to include CD racks (we know, we know… no-one uses CDs anymore but they’re easy enough for us to refit for BluRay or whatever you like) and some framed Buddha heads.

A note: LCL shipping to Japan is expensive mainly because Japan (like many other countries) requires ISPM#15 fumigation for wood packing materials. In this case, the ISPM#15 standard makes up nearly 50% of the total cost for shipping the first cubic meter. Here’s an up to date quotation based on the first and five cubic meters to the port of Yokohama. Rates valid ‘till the end of February, 2009:
