For Garden Centres

Our next container of furniture and crafts from Bali, Indonesia is schedule to arrive in the UK late January / Early February next year.

There is still space available in the container (20’) and we hope you might be interested in sharing with some orders of your own.

Examples of products that might interest you include:

Stone Statues for Garden Centres - Wholesale - From Bali

Stone Statues for Garden Centres - Wholesale - From Bali

Stone Statues

Stone Fountains

Recycled Teak Furniture

Teak Root Furniture

Bamboo Windchimes

Bamboo Ducks — email for details

All of these products are already available from wholesalers in the UK but with the usual mark-ups built in – buying direct from Indonesia should mean a big improvement on costs and profits for you.

Also, a few other points that might make a difference:

We are not competitors and won’t be selling the same products in your area.

Products will be guaranteed up to 14 days after receipt – meaning if you have any kind of problem with the product quality, we can replace the problem product or you can return to our address in Uxbridge for refund (something you cannot usually do with direct shipments out of Indonesia).

Finally, if necessary, we can guarantee not supplying to other garden centres in your area.

With the kind of pricing you get from going direct, you may be able to wholesale to the other centres yourself.

We have prepared a few pages to give you a clear idea of Garden Centre type products with prices:

What is bamboo?

Bamboo is actually a type of grass  (Poaceae, subfamily Bambusoideae, tribe Bambuseae — check Wikipedia for more species details at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bamboo).

You should love bamboo…

Bamboo products have been enjoying a high profile the past few years because use of bamboo is considered more environmentally friendly than many other products. Of course, that’s only part of the equation — bamboo is very versatile and has a number of properties that make it suitable in a wide range of scenarios.

I first encountered bamboo being used in an industrial application as scaffolding in Hong Kong. I grew up in the construction industry (plant hire and ground works) and, truthfully, I was blown away to see bamboo in place of steel scaffolding poles in construction of high rise buildings in the middle of the city. It was explained to me at the time that bamboo has excellent tensile strength and that bamboo scaffolding is better able to withstand Hong Kong typhoons — it’s the old moral of the flexible sapling bending and surviving while the might oak is destroyed by high winds.

I was also told that an added benefit was that if the scaffolding should fall, it was less dangerous for the people below. Mind you, a bamboo pole hitting you end on from thirty stories above will kill you just as surely as a steel scaffolding pole.

Across Indonesia, China & Japan (probably throughout Asia but these are the countries I know best), bamboo has been used for construction, flooring, housing, decoration, furniture, craft, art, writing (both paper and pen) weaponry, kitchen utensils and cooking, food, clothing — I could probably go on but, let’s face it: since ancient times, bamboo has been used for just about everything and is still an important staple material today.

It is strong, versatile, grows quickly (fully mature in under five years) and, for such a useful crop, has a very high yield. Now wonder we love it.

Bamboo in our Catalogue

At the time of writing, we have nearly 500 different bamboo products available in our catalogue… I’ve listed all of them below but if that takes too much back and forth, you can jump to the Bamboo Products page which has all the products and notes the different categories at the top:

Bad Furniture Supplier: fullhouses[dot]com

We were recently contacted by Debra Graff after she had trouble with a furniture company in Java — fullhouses — she’s requested that her original emails be copied below so that others can learn about her bad experience with this company.

Subject: My horrific experience w/ FULLHOUSES FURNITURE (FULLHOUSES[dot]COM)

Thanks for taking the time to review this brief message. I have recently done business w/a company called FullHouses Furniture, located in Central Java – Indonesia 50512. Almost every company listed in this emailing was or is listed on their website as “affiliated with, supported or sponsored by” ….

Attached below is a recent copy of my last of many (1of at least 12) emails that i have sent to Fulhouses Furniture w/no response to date. I do plan on continuing to do business w/furniture companies, however i will be spreading the word via media, email and word of mouth due to the frustration, lack of support and just plain poor business practices.

If any person and/or business is aware of other issues in dealing with fullhouses furniture, please help me in trying to get this and other possible issues resolved. If you have any additional contact information of other information on “fullhouses furniture” please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated.

Listed below are some of the issues contained in my most recent email to fullhouses furniture:

To: Bayu Aji, Nur Janah i/c/o FULLHOUSES FURNITURE

After sending several emails over the last two months, i have yet to hear a response from your and/or your company, fullhousesfurniture[dot]com, to address and resolve the following issues:

  • incorrect pieces of furniture shipped
  • damaged pieces of furniture
  • incorrect shipping weight & cmb quote provided by your company
  • incorrect fabric scheme used on furniture
  • incorrect description and incorrect use of materials (solid wood vs veneer) in furniture assembly

For your reference, i have all the original email correspondences for the above issues, if needed.

Please note that I am giving you and your company fair notice and warning to respond and resolve the issues that are and were addressed in this and prior emails. This will be my last attempt to try to handle the issues amicably. I am requesting a response to resolve the issues within 3 days however if i do not get a response to resolve the issues, i will have to bring these issues, that i am having with you and your furniture company, to a new level for resolution.

Again, please respond asap, as i am giving your company a fair chance to resolve the issues listed above. As a furniture company trying to promote a good reputation, you need to be fair… as i have been.

Steve

I am just looking for resolution and for the furniture company to send me my items that i paid for but have not received.

Jewellery, Beads, Pendants, Bracelets, Necklaces & Rings…

Our jewellery collection has returned to the main site — http://www.indonesiaexport.co.uk.

(International buyers can still find the Beads Bali jewelry catalogue up and running at http://www.beads-bali.com).

UK customers can now access all of our jewellery from the drop down navigation menu at the top of every page or go to the Jewellery Page on the site as a more convenient jumping off spot.

We know that Jewellery Buyers do business very differently from handicraft and furniture buyers so here are some notes before you go:

Custom orders are welcome and will not be included in the online catalogue for other customers.

We can also organise gift packaging and wrapping.

The minimum order for jewellery only is £50.00.

The minimum order for mixed jewellery and other products from the catalogue is £200.00

The cheapest method of shipping jewellery is through our container sharing set-up — however, if you need your jewellery more quickly, we’re happy to arrange courier or air parcels at the best possible rate.

Many items are already in stock but if production is required, it usually takes less than 2 weeks.

Contact us for more details by emailing info@indonesiaexport.co.uk or calling 020 3286 6629.

Sean
